"A Prayer" is a quarantine experimental film exploring how a 100+ year old Bengali prayer wrought with a dichotomous history relates to the current realities of young global millennials. It is based on Rabindranath Tagore’s “Aguner Poroshmoni,” a poem used as a farewell in funerals in Bengal, as well as a song inspiring protest for secularism in Bangladesh. Confronting the fears and effects of the COVID pandemic, “A Prayer,” does Tagore in the most non-Tagore way. has been awarded at several international festivals
